Lost

We have lost our standing as the species of highest intelligence. I reserve that for the porpoise and the swine. We have forgotten our human nature- investing in cars, jewels, things, rather than investing in our capacity to learn, understand, care.

We grow our portfolios and not food to nourish us. What of true nourishment of the mind, the body, the soul? Less time for books, less time to cook, less time for friends.

We do nothing to care for our bodies yet expect to be well. We do nothing to care for our minds yet expect to be sane.
